Hey Protected babes,
I pray all is well with all of you protected babes. Happy May.
In the month of May there are a number of awareness that's observed during this month. The monthly observances in May include: Arthritis Awareness Month, Better Sleep Month, Mental Health Awareness Month, and Women's Health Care Month just to name a few. May also symbolizes growth and increase.
As all of you know that have been following my journey and reading the monthly blogs and subscribed to start receiving our weekly news letters I greatly appreciate you. To begin to explain to you guys where I was mentally just a year ago today to where I am currently has truly been an amazing journey. My mental health is my priority and I am grateful that I have been able to continue to scale, soar, and succeed. Those of you who know May of last year I was at my lowest level mentally and what could've been my last days living. I am truly blessed that within a year time, with GOD, prayer, therapy, shifting my mindset, healing, releasing and rediscovering myself I am able to be here today to continue on my journey and working collective with GOD on his plan.
I've been asked recently how was it that I was able to overcome my challenges from last year to be where I am today. I would say at the beginning of last year 2023, I didn't have any expectations on what GOD was able to produce. Growing up I would always hear GOD has a plan and purpose for you. It was extremely difficult to see those plans when I didn't have hope. Hope is defined as a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. So, I built my faith and took the route of hope with GOD. When I was living in expectation I found myself alone and trying to get through life alone. That didn't get me far. In all things we as individuals need a great source of spirituality and to have belief in the creator. Establishing belief in the creator allowed me to cast all of my worries and anxiety onto the creator. I have been able to share my journey on podcast, in women communities, continue on unbecoming societal expectations and overcoming challenges such as depression, homelessness, and an abusive relationship. I had the opportunity to discuss my transformation from a person in need of support to a dedicated mental health case manager and advocate for improving living standards and securing funding for mental health services. My journey is marked by me saying yes to GOD, my resilience, faith, and commitment to breaking generational curses while walking in my purpose. I also had the privilege of created a Protected & Paid planner with so much more to come.
On this journey there are times that I still experience low moods which comes with life, but being able to have hope, my belief in GOD, therapy, my support system, mentors and family allow me to continue to flourish. Changing my mindset also played a major part with my elevation. I have learned to push past survival. Once I realized that my problems begin to fade once I turned to GODs word instead of trying to figure it all out on my own. Staying in a survival mindset allow you to do just that, survive. Remember Protected babes, GOD plan is to prosper you. If this is your current reality I encourage you to look back on a previous situation you felt like you suffered. After you came out of it what did you learn about hope? What did you learn about GODs promise? What did you learn about faith? Just to clarify Faith is the result of current belief systems as shaped by experience, whereas hope is the product of desiring a future state of affairs.
I love you guys and I thank you for being with me throughout my journey. The motto here is "Welcome to Protected & Paid where Mental Health & Purpose is the top priority". Thank you for being a part of my purpose walk. Until next month, I pray all of you remember to put your mental health first and remember there is a plan and a purpose for you.
Below I will leave you with my anchor scriptures:
Proverbs 31
Psalm 31
As always I pray that this information helps you in one or more areas. Remember to stay in prayer, stay in peace, stay intentional, but most importantly stay Protected & Paid. Kindly remember to share Protected & Paid blog with your Family and Friends. You never know who it can bless.
